Since graduating in the top 10 of his class at Notre Dame Law School in 2002, appellate work has always been a focus of Dave's practice.

He has argued hundreds of cases successfully in both state and federal appellate courts across the country. Prior to opening Ivy Law, Dave was an appellate attorney for Florida's Statewide Guardian ad Litem Program, where his sole mission was to defend the best interests of children in Florida's appellate courts. 

In that role, Dave helped greatly expand children's rights here in Florida by developing the law in this area through Florida's Supreme Court and intermediate appellate courts.

Through the years, Dave has argued important constitutional cases, cases to protect women (such as an Arizona federal case to expand the reach of Arizona's "Megan's Law," and countless other cases in courts all across the country.
